• Responsible for all technical interaction, collaboration and negotiation with Government, ABS, and USCG, as well as oversight of engineering budgets and contractual compliance for government and military programs.
• Enabled the delivery of five (5) T-AKE class vessels to the U.S. Navy between 2007 and 2008.
• Personally solicited and administered the funds for government-sponsored cost reduction efforts under the Cost Avoidance Special Study program; over 25 individual studies, with a net cost reduction approaching $20 million.

 

Supervisor, Outfit Engineering | 2006-2007

• Responsible for liaison between engineering and production personnel, and oversight of freeze/chill cargo hold cost reductions.
• Supported the delivery of first T-AKE vessel to U.S. Navy through resolution of production and design issues, and negotiation of government-initiated discrepancies.

 

On-Board Area Manager, Cargo/Ballast/Main Deck | 2003-2005

• Responsible for cost and schedule development/adherence in the final stage of construction for three (3) separate British Petroleum crude oil carriers.
• Contributed to the successful delivery of three (3) new vessels between 2003 and 2005, including the lead ship.

• Responsible for assisting shipboard engineering officers with routine operation and maintenance of primary propulsion and auxiliary systems.

• Obtained over 300 days at sea, working in pursuit of qualification for USCG Third Assistant Engineer license.
